Houses
What we do:
On enrolment each student joins a ‘House’ for their time at Nelson College for Girls. The Houses are: Dun (green), Matai (red), Maungatapu (blue), Waimea (yellow) and Whangamoa (purple). All boarders belong to Whangamoa.
Areas of assistance:
Students stay with their Houses throughout their education at Nelson College for Girls. Each house has captains who help to build a sense of belonging and camaraderie. There is a strong element of competition between houses at sports and cultural events with students going all out to win for their House!
