Who we are
- A leading New Zealand state secondary school established by English settlers in 1883.
- An education provider for young women Year 9 to Year 13, (ages 12/13 up to 17/18).
- An environment with an emphasis on academic performance.
- A partner educator with Nelson College,and also working alongside local businesses, organisations and sports clubs and to offer an integrated approach to learning.
- A member of the International Association for Schools with international students mainly from Germany, China, and Japan but also Europe, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.
- A boarding establishment for 121 students which in 2011 will increase to 155.
- A school committed to sporting development, facilitated through a full-time, professional sports coordinator.

- exchange students from our 'sister schools in Germany, France and Japan
