Bronte House is an educational environment, which is both unique, and an integral part of Nelson College for Girls. It offers a Year 9 and a Year 10 Integrated Learning Class.

How Integrated Learning Works
Students study the four core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies within a homeroom environment with one teacher for all topics instead of a separate teacher for each subject.

 The Benefits of Integrated Learning
Curriculum integration encourages students to become aware of personal learning styles, strengths and weaknesses and builds self-confidence and esteem. An integrated curriculum aims to teach students the skills of learning and how to adapt and integrate knowledge and skills from across the curriculum to solve problems and design solutions. Students have input to planning topics based on their interests.

 How To Apply
Application for possible student inclusion in this class are invited from parents and is discussed during the enrolment process prior to entry in Year 9.  If you think Integrated Learning may benefit your daughter please contact Nelson College for Girls when completing the College's enrolment form.

Contributing schools will be consulted and decisions will be made by Nelson College for Girls staff.
