Presently at the College there are 13 visiting teachers who have a range of musical skills to teach our students, including piano, cello, guitar, flute, drums, singing, saxophone and keyboard.

Nelson College for Girls also has close links with the Nelson School of Music, the oldest independent music school in New Zealand.

Nelson College for Girls has an orchestra, a choir, a jazz band, a brass ensemble and a saxophone ensemble.

There are different course options applicable to each year so it pays to look in the Curriculum Handbook to see what is available to you to study. Download it from the Information Centre, or the Resources section on this page. Courses will only proceed when the required number of places are filled.
