For many years there was at least one Grice girl at the College. I was the first of the five Grice sisters educated there so it was very much part of our lives.

The College promoted an atmosphere for young women to develop their full potential. It allowed me to choose law as a career. I was not constrained by the consideration that there were then, few women lawyers, and none that were prominent. The College did that for me and I have tried to promote other young women in the legal profession.

To ensure that the College thrives for present and future generations of young women, I support, and urge you to give generously to the NCG Trust Foundation.

Educating secondary students these days is a big challenge for as all. We must rise to that challenge and confront it boldly and successfully.

Nelson College for Girls is an excellent school for young women. It is so exciting to see how well Nelson College For Girls prepares its students for adult life. The demands of a modern society require new teaching methods and facilities and Government funding is insufficient to meet the school's long-term vision and requirements.
As former Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and a past parent, I strongly support the fundraising campaign and I urge you to do the same. Nelson College for Girls needs your financial support to continue that proud tradition.

My mother and my daughters too have all attended Nelson College for Girls, so I really do speak from experience when I say they have prepared three generations of women well for life's challenges. I hope you can join us in this most worthwhile project and help our girls take on the world!
