When each student arrives at Nelson College for Girls she is placed into one of five houses:

Whangamoa is a house for the boarding students of our school who live at Clarice Johnstone House. The five Houses compete in several activities throughout the year to earn points to win the House Shield. These activities include Swimming Sports, Athletic Sports, House Sports and House Drama / Music. Each House has two leaders who are voted for at the end of the previous year. |
