International Student Fees
 

The two main areas are Tuition and Accommodation. Listed below are the tuition costs plus Boarding or Homestay accommodation.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TUITION AND BOARDING 2012

Tuition Fee Includes:

All subject fees and workbooks
Text books (no charge unless the textbooks are not returned)
Director for International Students who will help deal with any problems
Access to extra pastoral guidance and native speaker support.
Access to the gymnasium, library and computer facilities.
Nelson airport meeting on first arrival.
An initial stationery pack.
An Orientation programme.
Goods and Services Tax.
An administration fee of NZ$500.00.
 

Tuition Fee Does Not Include:

Stationery
Accommodation
Meals
School Uniform
Insurance
Clubs, activities and EOTC
Cost of additional materials for arts and technology subjects

NZQA Examination Fees

NZQA examination fee for Years 11, 12 and 13 only: $375.00.

Short Stay Students Only

Nelson Experience
Terms 1, 2 and 3 (price per term)  - $140.00

Term 4 - $60.00
(Nelson Experience Extended Activities Programme at the end of Term 4 is included in the school Tuition Fee - see Nelson Experience programme)

Insurance

It is a condition of the New Zealand Government that all International students have Travel, Medical and Fee Protection Insurance cover.

General Living Expenses

An account to which items which can be charged by the student for costs such as:

Examination fees
Personal requirements plus pocket money if requested
Class expenses, such as cost of trips
Expenses incurred at the boarding house such as taxis and dry cleaning

To secure a place for the following year, fees for returning International Students must be paid in advance by 15 November.

Meet and Greet

Optional:  Students can be met at Auckland International Terminal and taken to the Domestic Terminal for onward travel to Nelson.
