The Nelson College for Girls Trust Foundation was established in 1988, with a grant from the Nelson College for Girls Old Girls Association.
Over subsequent years, Nelson College for Girls has received generous gifts from benefactors that are administered by the Foundation Trust. Gifts and donations are applied to the Foundation Trust funds in accordance with the specific wishes of the donor or in support of a current project.
We passionately believe that it is our role to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to launch them into a successful and satisfying life beyond their Secondary education. We acknowledge that Government funding will only provide for basic equipment and facilities. We have accepted the challenge to raise additional funds to enhance our programmes and facilities and maintain our focus on the provision of an excellent education for all of our students.
We are very aware that we must value the past and all those who have been a part of it and build on this as we move forward in the future. The Trust Foundation provides the opportunity for all past students and friends to maintain their affiliation with the College whilst furthering the opportunities for the students of today.

In October 2008 the NCG Trust Foundation launched its first annual gift appeal. This annual programme is vital to the ongoing development of programmes and resources that are currently not met through government funding. Donations can be targeted to the various funds listed on the "Come With Us" page.
Thank you to all those who have generously supported this appeal in 2008 and we look forward to your continuing support. Click here for the annual appeal letter.
