Sport

At Nelson College for Girls, over 78% of students participate in sport. This is because at NCG, we provide an environment that builds confidence, promotes competition, well-being and self-development. There are an enormous number of sporting opportunities, all facilitated by the College's dedicated Director of Sport and co-coordinators.

Our sporting department also offers the 'NCG Wings' sports membership, which is an all inclusive collective of student athletes and gives members access to extended training, workshops, guest speakers, apparel and discounted sporting services in the community.

The College is involved in many regional and national inter-school competitions and has an active calendar of sporting events for every season.

We also make the most of community organisations where clubs already exist for various codes, enabling students to engage in an especially wide range of sporting pursuits.

We're proud to offer students the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sporting codes.  Some sports are organised by clubs in the community and you may need to travel to their facility to participate.
