International Co-Ordinator
Nelson College for Girls offers a comprehensive programme to our international students, ensuring they are able to fully experience the academic, cultural, and sporting opportunities our school is renowned for.
We are seeking an International Coordinator to join our International Team. Reporting to the International Director, you will share responsibility for managing homestay requirements, supporting student wellbeing, and completing other administrative tasks required in a busy department.
This is an interesting and varied role in a vibrant school environment for a team player with good communication and organisational skills and a friendly, professional approach. This permanent, part-time position is 11 hours per week during term time and is a job share, with hours arranged to work alongside the other staff member in the role.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Strong communication skills. You will need to be a great listener and possess a calm and warm demeanour to build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff.
High degree of organisation and the ability to work autonomously. The workload will fluctuate throughout the year, so you will need to prioritise tasks, use initiative, and manage your time effectively.
Comfortable working across a range of technologies/platforms, including MS Suite.
Love working with people. You will liaise regularly with students, homestay families, and staff. It is essential that you feel comfortable developing empathetic and supportive relationships.
Strong administration skills where accuracy and timeliness are crucial. You will be responsible for organising and completing all documentation relating to each homestay family and student on our programme, ensuring compliance with the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students, as well as other administrative tasks within the department.
